BRS MLC K Kavitha's Condition Gets Worse in Tihar Prison...

Tuesday night, K Kavitha, the leader of the BRS, who is being held captive at tihar jail, was brought to the DDU Hospital in Delhi. The delhi excise policy case landed her in jail. K kavitha was taken into custody on march 15th, 2018. Six days later, the Enforcement Directorate detained delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with a money laundering investigation pertaining to the delhi excise policy case. It's still unclear why she was sent to the hospital. K kavitha was one of the first people the Enforcement Directorate arrested. The next month, the cbi arrested her. In both cases, the court is detaining K Kavitha, the daughter of former telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao.

K kavitha is accused of being a part of a group that bribed the AAP with ₹100 crore to pass a law supporting alcohol. manish Sisodia and kejriwal are both behind bars at tihar jail in connection with the same case. When the cbi filed an additional charge sheet against kavitha in June, they stated they had sufficient evidence to indict her in the corruption case. The cbi had questioned her in the jail earlier. She asked about the whatsapp communications that were discovered on co-accused Buchi Babu's phone. She was also questioned on an alleged ₹100 crore payment to the party.

Earlier this month, K kavitha appeared in court in delhi to ask for "default" release from the corruption case. In her bail request, K Kavitha's legal representative contended that crucial elements were absent from the chargesheet against her. The appeal claimed that she had been detained for longer than the 60 days after her arrest that the law required the cbi to prepare a thorough chargesheet. It is clear that the purpose of the third supplemental chargesheet is to evade, obstruct, and impede the applicant's release on default bail, in addition to violating Section 309(2) of the Cr.P.C. in an indirect way. The plea claimed that the applicant's right to be released on default bail could not be upheld by the law due to the haphazard and inadequate investigations that were conducted. The court then set a new hearing date for the matter for July 22.
