Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has given a statement on the delhi water crisis. He said that if there is a need of water in any corner of the country, we are ready to give water. He said that but haryana comes between us and Delhi.

Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said, "We have made an agreement and we have also released water. haryana government has to release water beyond Haryana's data-border. I have also held a meeting with my officials. If there is a need of water in any corner of India, we are ready to give all the water. haryana comes between delhi and Himachal, haryana has to see why they are not releasing water."

Atishi accused haryana government

Earlier, Delhi's Water minister Atishi criticized the haryana government and alleged that it was 'intentionally' and 'illegally' stopping the supply of water in the national capital. Atishi alleged in a press conference that the haryana government is releasing less water for the city, due to which delhi is unable to meet its daily water requirement.

Haryana government is lying - Atishi

Citing the affidavit filed by the haryana government in the supreme Court, minister Atishi said, "The haryana government is lying that they have supplied adequate water to Delhi. In their affidavit filed in the court, the figures of actual withdrawal of water have been presented, which exposes their lie." Atishi alleged that according to the affidavit, the haryana government had reduced the amount of water to be released even before the elections in delhi (May 23).
