Good news has come for Shiromani Akali Dal from Punjab's bathinda lok sabha seat. Harsimrat Kaur Badal, wife of Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal, has won. Harsimrat Kaur Badal has again captured this seat by defeating Aam Aadmi Party's Gurmeet Singh Khuddian by 49656 votes. The contest on Punjab's bathinda seat was very exciting. Here Shiromani Akali Dal candidate Harsimrat Kaur Badal got 3 lakh 76 thousand 558 votes in the lok sabha elections. While AAP candidate Gurmeet Singh Khuddian got 3 lakh 26 thousand 902 votes in the second place.

Congress's Jeet Mohinder Singh Sidhu was in third place on bathinda seat. He got 2 lakh 2 thousand 11 votes. bjp stood fourth here and the party's candidate Parampal Kaur got 1 lakh 10 thousand 762 votes. BSP stood sixth on this seat. Harsimrat Kaur Badal is currently an mp from bathinda and now she has been elected as mp from here for the fourth time. She contested the lok sabha elections from here for the first time in the year 2009 and won.
