Preparations have been completed at the administrative level for the counting of lok sabha election votes. A counting centre has been set up at Girls college in Sector-14. EVMs have been kept there under tight security after the election. The locks of the strong room will be opened from 6 am. After this, counting of votes will start from 8 am. Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav said that all the agents will have to reach the counting centres at 6 am. Two counting centres have been set up for gurgaon and Badshahpur assembly constituencies and one each for Sohna and Pataudi. One counting centre is for counting postal ballot papers. 25 tables have been set up for counting of EPBTs and postal ballot papers in the counting centre. 14 tables each will be set up in the remaining 6 counting centres. Employees were assigned duty at the counting centres through randomisation on Monday.

EVM strong room locks will be opened at 6 am on Tuesday. For this, information has also been given to the candidates of gurgaon lok sabha constituency, so that they can send their counting agents to the college campus on time at 6 am. The Deputy Commissioner said that on tuesday morning, under the supervision of the counting observer, the postal ballot papers will be counted first. After this, counting will start with EVMs.

The Deputy Commissioner has appealed to the political parties and candidates to cooperate in maintaining peace and security during the counting of votes in the same way as there was a peaceful atmosphere during the elections. The employees, media persons and counting agents who have to enter the college on tuesday morning must bring the pass issued by the election Department. No one will be allowed inside without a pass. About 700 employees have been deployed for the counting of votes.
