Big accident in punjab, collided head-on, loco pilot injured…

A major accident took place in Sirhind, punjab on sunday morning. Two goods trains collided near Madhopur in Sirhind at around 3:30 am, after which the engine of a goods train overturned. Two loco pilots were injured in this accident. Both the loco pilots have been admitted to the hospital.

Two goods trains loaded with coal were standing on the DFCC track built for goods trains. These goods trains had to go towards Ropar. But, on sunday morning suddenly the engine of the goods train opened and collided with another train. The engine overturned and got stuck in the passenger train going from Ambala to Jammu Tawi. Due to which the passenger train Summer Special also got damaged. After the accident, the Summer Special train was sent to Rajpura by attaching another engine. At the same time, the work of repairing the track is going on. Railway employees are busy repairing the track on the spot.

Loco pilot admitted to hospital

Both the loco pilots who were victims of the accident are residents of saharanpur district of Uttar Pradesh. They have been identified as Vikas Kumar and Himanshu Kumar. Both the loco pilots were taken out by breaking the glass of the engine. After which they were taken to the civil hospital with the help of an ambulance but seeing their critical condition, the doctors referred them to Rajindra Hospital in Patiala. According to the doctors of Fatehgarh Sahib Civil Hospital, pilot Vikas Kumar has a head injury while Himanshu Kumar has a back injury.
