Voting is going to be held on june 1 on all 13 lok sabha seats of Punjab. Meanwhile, former punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder has appealed to the people to vote for his wife and bjp candidate Preneet Kaur. He has said that people should come out of their homes in large numbers and vote for a prosperous and developed Punjab.

Former cm Captain amarinder singh wrote on the social media platform, "I am writing to you with an appeal and a heart full of hope for our shared vision of a prosperous and developed Punjab. I urge all of you to come out in large numbers and vote for the bjp candidate." He further wrote, "As you all know, my wife Preneet Kaur is contesting from patiala lok sabha seat. I especially appeal to the citizens of patiala lok sabha to come in large numbers and support her by pressing the "lotus symbol".'' Let us tell you that Preneet Kaur has been an mp four times. After leaving Congress, she joined bjp and the party has expressed confidence in her in the lok sabha elections. Preneet Kaur is also the current mp from this seat.

In punjab, bjp is contesting the elections in alliance with no party. Apart from bjp, AAP, Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal and BSP are also in the fray. A total of 328 candidates are trying their luck on 13 seats in the lok sabha elections to be held in Punjab. These include 26 women candidates. The total number of eligible voters in punjab is 2 crore 14 lakh 61 thousand 739. These include 1 crore 1 lakh 74 thousand 240 women and 773 transgender voters. On friday (May 30), the campaign for the lok sabha elections in punjab ended. Voting will be held on june 1 from 7 am to 6 pm.
