The education Ministry has invited applications for the National Awards for teachers 2024. You can submit your nomination by 20th june by visiting the official website nat.aicte-india.org. You can see the prescribed format for National Awards by visiting the National Awards portal awards.gov.in and can apply with the help of system generated OTP. Its email notification will be sent to the institute heads.

Who can apply-

A candidate applying for the National Award must be a regular faculty member of any college, university, higher educational institute or polytechnic college in India. They should have at least 5 years of full time teaching experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level. Apart from this, the age of the applicant should not be more than 55 years till the application deadline.


Who cannot apply

Vice Chancellor, director or Principal of any college, university, higher educational institute cannot apply for this award. However, the applications of those candidates who have previously held these posts and are below 55 years of age and are currently in active service, can be considered.


What is the nomination process?

Candidates can nominate themselves for National Awards. Apart from this, Vice-Chancellor, director, Principal, Faculty member of any college, university, higher educational institute or polytechnic college of india can also nominate their colleagues for this award.
