Voting is going on for the fourth phase of lok sabha elections in Maharashtra. Meanwhile, Sharad Pawar's party ncp (SP) has raised serious questions regarding EVMs on monday (May 13). ncp (SP) has alleged that CCTV cameras remained switched off for 45 minutes in a warehouse in pune district of the state, where EVMs of Baramati lok sabha constituency were kept. At the same time, on the allegations of Sharad Pawar's party, the election officials clarified that during some electrical work in the premises in the morning, a cable of the cameras had to be removed for a short time.

According to PTI report, Laxmikant Khabia, election representative of ncp (SP) candidate from Baramati lok sabha seat and Sharad Pawar's daughter supriya Sule, said, "Switch off the CCTV cameras at the Food Corporation of india (FCI) warehouse between 10.30 am and 11.15 am. Given, where EVMs of Baramati constituency have been stored after voting. election officials told us that CCTVs will work round the clock. Our party representatives are deployed to keep vigil.

Supriya Sule's election representative Laxmikant Khabia further said, "On monday we received an alert that the CCTVs were closed for about 45 minutes. We tried to raise this issue with the police. The administration has come up with a clarification, but we will submit an application to the Returning Officer, Baramati.

Meanwhile, Baramati returning officer Kavita Dwivedi said the party's claim was investigated, and it was found that an electrician in the warehouse had removed a cable, causing the display unit to shut down. All cameras on the campus were working and the data was intact, he said. Let us tell you that voting was held in Baramati on May 7, where there was a data-face-off between sitting mp supriya Sule and her sister-in-law Sunetra Pawar. Sunetra Pawar is the wife of deputy cm Ajit Pawar.
