Delhi lg Vinai Kumar Saxena Sacks 223 Employees...
According to the reports, 223 employees of the delhi Commission for women (DCW) have been sacked from their jobs on orders from delhi Lieutenant governor Vinai Kumar Saxena. The reports said delhi lg took the harsh decision on the basis of an inquiry report submitted in 2017 and suggestions from the government of India's Department of women and Child Development.

It was noted that the former delhi Commission for women (DCW) chairperson swati Maliwal allegedly appointed these women on work without approval from the finance department and the delhi LG. LG's order to sack 223 women from their jobs, also mentioned that only 40 posts were sanctioned under DCW Act. However, posts for the rest of the people appointed were not approved, so they have to be removed from their posts with immediate effects. The DCW didn't have powers to engage them as contractual employees, the order stated.

"Requirement of additional staff and eligibility criteria for each post" has to be approved by the competent authority and only after that any government office can hire people for work. Reacting to LG's order, which will snatch 223 women's job, Former DCW chief and AAP rajya sabha MP swati Maliwal comes out all guns blazing. In a post on X, in Hindi, she said, "LG Saheb has issued a 'Tughlaqi' order to remove all the contract staff of DCW. Today, there are a total of 90 staffers in the Women's Commission, out of which only 8 people have been given by the government, the rest are on a contract for 3 months each." The order has become a big cause of worry for all 223 employees who were appointed on contractual basis. Reportedly, these women are also planning to stage a protest outside the lg house this week.
