Why there is Lack of ground work in Bihar?

Chief minister Nitish Kumar discusses the achievements of his government in public meetings. His words can be believed to some extent. The cycle and dress scheme for school going daughters deserves praise, but the biggest challenge of the state is migration and unemployment. The number of Bihari laborers who "returned home" during the Corona period presents a frightening picture. The journey of Bihari workers never ends, when they live in the metropolis they think about their village and when they are in the village, their poverty pushes them to migrate. There is no visible development in the district headquarters of the state.

Due to lack of health facilities, patients suffering from serious diseases are forced to wander in other states for better treatment. The plan for the salvation of sugar and jute mills is not coming to fruition at a fast pace. Despite the vast potential for development of fruit-based industries, a favorable environment has not been created to move forward. The pace of employment generation in rural areas is slow.

Caste census data has been published, but employment schemes have not been prepared based on it yet. The basic nature of bihar is agricultural. But there seems to be a lack of suitable infrastructure for agriculture at the commercial level. The Revenue and Land Reforms Department should develop such a system for measuring land so that a permanent solution to the land dispute can be found. It is noteworthy that since the 1990s, the backward classes have dominated the politics of the state. Therefore, now they should take the responsibility of effective implementation of public policies. Castes did not disappear due to education, urbanization and modernization, rather they got organized and became politically powerful. However, the positive aspect in this matter is that caste does not play a decisive role in national level politics.
