Lok sabha Election 2024 Rahul, Priyanka want to contest Raebareli constituency!
In this situation, congress top sources say that both rahul gandhi and priyanka gandhi want to contest for the Raebareli lok sabha seat, which is traditional for the congress party, especially the gandhi family. In this, priyanka gandhi is yet to enter electoral politics. His arrival has been awaited by the party for a long time. But, he remains unyielding. While the party members are confident that he will definitely field in this election, they say that if he contests in his mother's Raebareli constituency, it will be an added strength. On the other hand, rahul gandhi is again contesting from wayanad constituency in kerala state, which he won last time. In the last 2019 lok sabha elections, rahul gandhi contested from two constituencies namely wayanad and Amethi. But he lost to bjp candidate smriti irani in Amethi. rahul gandhi, who contested his father Rajiv Gandhi's Amethi constituency for the first time in 2004 and won continuously till 2014. However, he lost to BJP's smriti irani in the 2019 elections. Criticisms were made at that time that rahul gandhi contested in two seats after predicting this. As Uttar Pradesh is sensitive and close to rahul and the congress leadership, it is said that this time rahul gandhi will contest from a constituency in Uttar Pradesh. It seems that an official announcement regarding this will be made after the lok sabha elections in kerala are over tomorrow. It is noteworthy that even in an interview given by prime minister Modi to Asianet news recently, he had predicted that rahul gandhi would contest from another constituency.
