Vaibhav Gehlot, son of former rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot, has filed his nomination from Jalore-Sirohi lok sabha seat. Former cm Ashok Gehlot, while sharing a post on his social media account, wrote, "I have now handed over Vaibhav to you." He has also written, "Vaibhav is yours. I request you to give him your blessings for the progress of the region. Heartfelt gratitude to all of you for your enthusiastic and warm support in the nomination."

Was defeated in the last election

It is known that Vaibhav Gehlot had last contested the lok sabha elections from jodhpur, where Union minister gajendra singh shekhawat defeated him by a huge vote. This time congress has fielded him from the Jalore-Sirohi lok sabha seat.

Shekhawat lost the election by 274440 votes

Let us tell you that in the last lok sabha elections, Vaibhav Gehlot was defeated by Union minister gajendra singh shekhawat from jodhpur by 274440 votes. While gajendra singh shekhawat got 788888 votes, Vaibhav Gehlot got only 514448 votes.

BJP fielded Lumbaram Chaudhary

Elections are to be held on the Jalore-Sirohi lok sabha seat in the second phase i.e. on 26th April. 29 candidates have filed 41 nomination papers for this lok sabha seat. This time bjp has fielded Lumbaram Chaudhary from Jalore seat.
