The first phase of lok sabha elections in madhya pradesh is on april 19 but voting has started in jabalpur from today. More than 12 hundred voters have been given special facilities to vote on friday and saturday (April 5 and 6). Voters have the facility to cast their vote sitting at home through postal ballot. According to the district election Officer, disabled voters and voters above 85 years of age will be able to take part in the voting process from home. In the first phase, polling teams will reach home on april 5 and 6 to conduct voting from 1 thousand 249 voters of all the eight assembly constituencies included in the jabalpur parliamentary constituency.

A total of 61 polling parties have been formed to conduct voting from the voters who have given consent in Form 12-D. Each party will have a presiding officer and a polling officer. A micro observer, a security personnel, and a videographer will also be present with the team. In the absence of voters, the polling parties will reach home again in the second phase on the 8th and 9th of April. The family members present at home will be informed as per order. The day and time of polling will be mentioned. During voting, polling agents of candidates or booth-level agents of political parties will also be able to be present at the homes of disabled and 85-plus voters.

Voting will continue till tomorrow in Jabalpur

The election commission of india has made arrangements for monitoring through webcasting or CCTV cameras to conduct free, fair, and peaceful elections. Instructions have also been given to deploy micro observers at every sensitive booth. The election commission has directed that the micro observer will keep an eye on every activity on the polling day at sensitive booths. His job will be to conduct the election process fairly and independently. The district administration is ready to increase the voting percentage of women voters in the lok sabha elections. 260 all-women-managed booths are being built in the jabalpur district. All the employees in the polling team formed for the polling stations will be women. Seven disabled and three youth voting groups will also be formed.
