Arrangements are being made for assembly elections in four states and lok sabha elections in the country. The schedule for conducting elections in 7 phases has already been released and the first phase of election notification has been released. The first phase of elections will be held in a few days. In this context, the Central election commission gave a shock to the political parties and media organizations.

The election commission has banned any exit poll from being conducted broadcast or published from april 19 to june 1 at 6.30 pm till the end of the election process in the country. The election commission has issued a notification banning exit polls. The first phase of polling will be held on april 19 and the 7th phase on june 1. Usually, media organizations and survey organizations announce the exit polls on the evening of election Day. However, the election commission has banned these exit polls. Exit polls can be published only after 6.30 pm on june 1, the final phase of polling.

The first phase of elections will be held on april 19, the second phase on april 26, the third phase on May 7, the fourth phase on May 13, the fifth phase on May 20, the sixth phase on May 26, and the final phase on june 1. ap assembly and lok sabha elections will be held in the fourth phase i.e. on May 13. As the election commission has banned exit polls, the survey and media organizations should be under control till the evening of june 1. No unusual surveys or exit polls should be announced.
