CM revanth directed officials to make plans for a trouble-free supply of drinking water and electricity given summer. cm revanth reddy has directed the officials to ensure that there are no drinking water problems in the state in the background of summer and that there are no power cuts. A review was conducted with the authorities on drinking water supply and electricity on Saturday. He said that there should be a power supply according to the demand. Appropriate plans should be made for this. Wherever the problem arises, it is advised to take steps to solve it immediately. He said that this time more power supply in the state than last year has registered a new record. The cm appreciated that the demand increased significantly in march like never before. Despite the peak demand, the DISCOMs played an effective role in providing electricity without cuts. deputy cm Bhatti Vikramarka participated in this meeting.
Compared to last year, the supply of electricity has increased significantly in line with the demand in the state. The state has an average power load of 9,712 MW. The peak demand has been 14,000 megawatts to 15,000 megawatts for the past two weeks. electricity officials have estimated that the demand will remain at approximately the same level till the second week of April. In this order, cm revanth ordered the officials to make plans to ensure that electricity is supplied as per the requirements. He said that drinking water should not be disturbed, crops should not dry up and students preparing for examinations should not suffer.
Meanwhile, from january to march last year, an average of 239.19 million units of electricity was supplied per day. In the three months from january to march 2024, an average of 251.59 million units of electricity was supplied per day. Last year on march 14, the supply of 297.89 million units was the highest record. electricity supply has improved in Greater hyderabad as compared to last year. cm revanth ordered to take action on a war footing so that there is no shortage of drinking water for the people in all parts of the state. local water sources should be used till April, May, and June. All bore wells and wells should be used for drinking water purposes. All nearby water sources should be utilized. The district Collectors should prepare a plan in advance so that the people do not have to worry about drinking water. Where there is a problem, a senior officer should be appointed as a special officer to oversee immediate solutions at the district level. A village-wise drinking water action plan should be prepared. According to the need, the senior officers of the concerned departments from the state level should visit the field. It should be ensured that water tanks are available in the municipalities and corporations to overcome the shortage of drinking water. If the tankers are booked, steps should be taken to reach the required place within 12 hours without any delay. Adequate tankers should be provided for that.' The cm directed the officials.
