The process of changing sides of leaders is continuing before the lok sabha elections. On tuesday, a congress mp joined bjp and today the aam aadmi party (AAP) has suffered a big blow. mp Sushil Kumar Rinku and aam aadmi party MLA from jalandhar East sheetal Angooral joined the BJP. AAP had announced to give the ticket to Rinku from Jalandhar. In punjab, both aam aadmi party and congress are contesting elections separately. Sushil Kumar Rinku has previously been in congress and won the assembly elections in 2017 from jalandhar West seat. However, in the by-election held on the jalandhar seat in 2023, AAP had made him a candidate from jalandhar and he has been representing this seat for the last year.
Angural had defeated Rinku in the assembly elections.
