Telangana Survey: Mixed Views on Modi.!

In telangana, which comprises 17 lok sabha constituencies, the impending lok sabha elections have ignited a flurry of political activity, with parties intensifying their promotional endeavours. Against this backdrop, a leading media organization conducted an online survey from march 13 to 27, aiming to gauge public sentiment on various pressing social and political issues prevalent across the nation.

The survey encompassed an array of topics, including the citizenship amendment act (CAA), the suitability of Prime Ministerial candidates, the contentious construction of the ram mandir, corruption, price escalation, unemployment concerns, and the unresolved Manipur dispute. Interestingly, despite telangana being under congress governance and andhra pradesh under the YSRCP, the survey revealed unexpectedly favourable views toward prime minister Modi.


Key revelations from the survey include significant support (54.03%) for the citizenship amendment act among Telugu-speaking respondents, indicating a level of approval for the recent legislative move by the Modi government. Moreover, an overwhelming majority (79.31%) expressed a preference for narendra modi to serve another term as prime minister, showcasing confidence in his leadership capabilities.


The survey also unveiled scepticism regarding the effectiveness of the opposition india Alliance, with 73.80% of respondents doubting its ability to challenge Modi's leadership effectively. Additionally, a majority (60.62%) perceived the Modi government as successful in fulfilling its election promises, indicating a level of satisfaction with its performance.


While nearly half (47.21%) of respondents acknowledged the government's efforts in curbing corruption, sentiments regarding the ram mandir construction in ayodhya were mixed, with 30.83% viewing it as a notable achievement. However, concerns were raised over issues such as price hikes, unemployment, the Manipur dispute, and fuel prices, signifying areas of discontent among respondents.


Overall, the survey presented a nuanced portrayal of public opinion toward the Modi government, revealing a blend of support for certain policies alongside apprehensions about specific challenges data-faced by the nation.
