BJP made this special strategy to defeat Congress.

Before the lok sabha elections, the bharatiya janata party had set a target of including one lakh congress workers in madhya pradesh, including disgruntled influential leaders, so that it could win all the 29 seats in the state. According to political observers and bjp insiders, the strategy is to weaken the congress at the grassroots level and also ensure defection of senior leaders who are unhappy in the party organisation. In the 2019 elections, bjp had almost wiped out congress in the state by winning 28 out of 29 seats. congress was able to win only the Chhindwara seat.

On the other hand, madhya pradesh unit chief of congress Jitu Patwari said that there is no future for the fugitives. Another bjp leader said that the bjp has set a target of inducting 50,000 congress workers from Chhindwara and has asked its district unit to achieve this target.

bjp state unit chief VD Sharma claimed, "I think around 50,000 workers, including influential leaders unhappy with the congress, have already joined the BJP." He said that there is only talk of the defection of big congress leaders, although congress is witnessing migration at district, tehsil, block, and booth levels in the entire state.

Sharma, who is seeking a second term in the lok sabha from Khajuraho seat, claimed that at least one lakh congress workers across the state are going to join the bjp before the lok sabha elections. Former congress MLA from indore Antar Singh darbar and his aide Pankaj Sanghvi and others joined the bjp on march 15. Speaking on the occasion, chief minister Mohan Yadav claimed, "Modi's family is growing at the fastest pace in Madhya Pradesh." madhya pradesh has been the political constituency of bjp stalwarts like former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Sangh stalwarts like Vijaya Raje Scindia and Kusha Bhau Thackeray.
