As soon as bjp released the candidate's ticket, the discussions about the ticket in the politics of hathras district came to an end. bjp has given a ticket for hathras Lok Sabha to Anup Balmiki, mla from Khair assembly of aligarh and Revenue minister in the Uttar Pradesh government, expressing confidence in him. Only time will tell how much people will trust him in the current situation. At present, the bjp high command has expressed confidence in him.


Current bjp mp Rajveer Diler is an mp from hathras Lok Sabha. His father has also been an mp from here several times. The bjp high command has shown great confidence in the Khair mla and the Revenue minister while ignoring Rajveer Diler. Anoop Balmiki, the current minister in the yogi government of Uttar Pradesh, is a native of Rakrana village in Gabhana tehsil of aligarh district.


Contested elections 19 years ago

In the year 2005, Anup Balmiki entered the political circles and contested the election for the post of district Panchayat member from the Pisawa area, but he got a crushing defeat by 125 votes. Nevertheless, he won the election of village head from Rakrana village in 2010. In 2012, the bjp gave him an mla ticket from Khair, but after finishing third, he data-faced a big defeat. After this, he became the district President of Scheduled Front in BJP.

In the 2017 assembly elections, Anup Valmiki of the bharatiya janata party had won the election from the Khair assembly seat and he became mla for the first time. Anup Valmiki had got 124198 votes here. Bahujan Samaj party was in second place. BSP candidate Rakesh Maurya got 70721 votes here. Earlier in the 2012 assembly elections, Bhagwati prasad of Rashtriya Lok Dal had won this seat. Earlier in 2007, Satyapal Singh of RLD had won from here. After this, for the second time in the 2022 elections, Anup Valmiki once again won the Khair assembly seat with a huge vote.
