On Sunday, delhi police arrested 4 people riding 2 scooters in Subroto Park Chowki area of South West Delhi. Rs 3 crore of hawala money has been recovered from the arrested youth. delhi police started taking action in this matter as per the rules laid down by the election commission (EC).

Since the election date, the code of conduct has been in force across the country including delhi NCR. After the implementation of the code of conduct, a special vigil is maintained by the police everywhere. Regarding this, thousands of special security personnel along with delhi police have been deployed in the capital delhi by setting up pickets at various places. In the same sequence, there was a continuous presence of delhi police personnel at the picket near the Jhadera flyover located in the delhi Cantt police station area of South West delhi district. During the investigation process, two scooter riders were suspected as they had two bags on their scooter.

During investigation, a huge amount of cash was found in the bags of both of them. When asked, they did not provide correct information and documents and the police took all four into custody, along with the money, and seized both the scooters and the mobile phones they had with them. After taking action as per the rules issued by the election commission, the money has been handed over to the Income Tax Department.


South West DCP Rohit meena said that on march 22, at around 3.30 pm, the police had set up a picket under the Jharera flyover (NH-48) coming from Gurugram towards delhi and delhi police Head Constable Hansraj and Constable Rajesh were constantly keeping an eye on the vehicles coming. Were keeping an eye. The vehicles that were suspected were being checked. During this time, two scooters passing by were suspected, which were immediately stopped and information was sought from them about the completely sealed black bag kept on the scooter along with their identity. On getting suspicious answers, both the bags were searched. As soon as the seals of both the bags were opened, both the policemen were shocked to see the bags filled with money.
