Tamil Nadu's minister Udayanidhi Stalin, son of chief minister DMK chief Stalin, has stirred controversy with his recent comments, drawing severe criticism from various quarters. Udayanidhi compared Sanatana dharma to diseases like malaria, dengue, and chicken, sparking outrage and leading to the filing of FIRs against him in multiple states. Even the supreme court has taken note of his remarks, with ayodhya Swamiji offering a reward of Rs. 1 crore for Udayanidhi's head.

Despite the backlash, Udayanidhi refused to apologize for his comments. He further fuelled controversy by criticizing prime minister Narendra Modi during recent lok sabha election campaign meetings in tamil Nadu. Udayanidhi mocked Modi as a "28 paisa prime minister," alleging that tamil Nadu receives only a fraction of what it contributes in central taxes. He expressed frustration over Modi's visits to tamil Nadu during election season, accusing him of neglecting the state's interests.

Udayanidhi also criticized the allocation of AIIMS construction in madurai and denounced the National education Policy (NEP), alleging discrimination against tamil Nadu. His comments have become a major talking point, and the response from bjp leaders to his latest remarks against the prime minister is anticipated.

With tamil Nadu's elections for 39 mp seats scheduled for april 19, Udayanidhi's controversial statements add further intensity to the political discourse in the state.
