According to PTI report, RSP president Mahadev Jankar had met ncp (SP) chief sharad pawar in pune earlier this week. Talking to the media, he said that in the 2009 lok sabha elections, he contested against sharad pawar from Madha and stood third with 98,743 votes. He claimed that his party's vote bank is in Madha and Baramati. He told that most of his workers are from OBC, Dhangar communities and I will win with 2.5 lakh margin votes.

RSP chief Mahadev Jankar said sharad pawar will help him win from Madha, while he will help supriya sule, who is the sitting mp from Baramati. He said that alliance means give and take. Jankar said that due to the grassroots level cadre of my party, bjp formed an alliance with me in 2014, but they lured my mla Rahul Kul to their side. Jankar said he has also met senior leaders of the Peasants and workers party (PWP), bjp leader Vijaysingh Mohite Patil and Ajit Pawar-led NCP's Ramraje Nimbalkar.
