Churning going on in Punjab Congress regarding ticket distribution!?
Reportedly the sources said that congress is preparing to field former punjab cm Charanjit Singh Channi from Ganganagar seat of Rajasthan. Earlier sources had told that Channi can contest elections from jalandhar seat of Punjab. aam aadmi party (AAP) has made mp Sushil Kumar Rinku the candidate from this seat. Whereas bjp, congress and Akali Dal have not yet announced candidates for this seat. Let us tell you that this time congress is in a mood to field big data-faces in the lok sabha elections. Charanjit Singh Channi became the chief minister in september 2021 after the removal of Captain Amarinder Singh. Charanjit Singh Channi remained the chief minister of punjab till march 2022. After this he had to data-face defeat in the assembly elections.
Furthermore Nihalchand Meghwal has been winning from Ganganagar seat for two consecutive times on bjp ticket. In such a situation, congress can bet on the Dalit data-face of Punjab. bjp has not announced the candidate yet. Voting for the lok sabha elections in rajasthan will be held in two phases. Voting will be held in the first phase on 19 april and in the second phase on 26 April. There are a total of 25 lok sabha seats in the state.
