Reportedly the journey of the devotees of Lord Hanuman coming to Jakhu temple of shimla will now become easier. himachal pradesh chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu dedicated the state's first outdoor escalator to the public at Hanuman temple in Jakhu. To make the movement of people comfortable in the ancient Hanuman temple situated at an altitude of 2 thousand 455 meters above sea level, four escalators have been constructed at a cost of Rs 7 crore 94 lakh. Six thousand devotees will be able to travel on these escalators in one hour.While inaugurating the escalator, chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that these escalators have provided the facility of easy darshan of Hanuman temple to the devotees. For the safety of devotees, safety brakes and LED lights have been installed on both sides of the escalators. The chief minister said that the ancient Jakhu temple is the main center of attraction for the devotees and tourists coming to Shimla. The state government is continuously making efforts to provide all kinds of basic facilities at this religious place.

For this, Lord Rama chose his devoted devotee Hanuman. On the orders of his Lord Lord Shri ram, Hanuman flew towards Dronagiri mountain to bring Sanjeevani herb.
