BJP's AP Chessboard: Pawan's Dual Role.!

The bharatiya janata party (BJP) is strategically working on establishing its presence in andhra pradesh (AP) politics, and its recent moves indicate a nuanced approach. bjp is seeking to data-align itself with Janasena, led by Pawan Kalyan, with the aim of emerging as a formidable third force in the state ahead of the 2024 elections.

The dynamics of this political strategy have been evolving over time. In january 2020, six months after the formation of the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu congress party (YSRCP) government in ap under jagan Mohan Reddy, the Janasena-BJP alliance was formed. This alliance was seen as a potential force to reckon with in the run-up to the 2024 elections, giving the bjp a platform to strengthen its position in the state.

However, the anticipated impact of the Janasena-BJP alliance in ap did not materialize as expected. The recent developments suggest that the alliance did not evolve into a significant third force in the state, and both parties are now considering their options. Pawan Kalyan, who had previously been associated with the bjp, did not sever ties with the telugu desam party (TDP). This strategic move by the bjp aimed to ensure that if the tdp was defeated, the bjp could potentially assume power in ap until 2029.

As national party status holds sway for the bjp, the party is reportedly extending another opportunity to pawan kalyan to strengthen its influence in AP. amit shah, the strategic mastermind in the bjp, is said to have extended a special invitation to Pawan during his visit to delhi for alliance discussions with Chandrababu Naidu. The proposition includes the idea of Pawan entering national politics if the alliance secures power in AP.

This would involve Pawan contesting in lok sabha elections and, upon victory, securing a ministerial position in the central cabinet. This unique proposal aims to elevate Pawan Kalyan's political standing. By becoming a central minister, Pawan could exert influence over ap politics and contribute significantly to the BJP's political landscape in the state. The bjp sees potential in Pawan's mass appeal, especially among the youth and certain social groups, making him a valuable asset in the political arena.

Despite political differences, the bjp appears keen on keeping Pawan within its fold, even if he data-aligns with the TDP. Pawan's perceived honesty and lack of corruption allegations make him an attractive political figure for the BJP. amit Shah's willingness to accommodate Pawan suggests an understanding that, with careful guidance, Pawan could evolve into a significant political leader in AP.

Pawan's dual candidature proposal, suggesting he contest both as an mp from kakinada and as an mla from Pithapuram, aims to strengthen his political position. If successful, Pawan could use these dual victories to enhance his political influence and potentially play a role in shaping the future political landscape in Andhra Pradesh. The evolving dynamics will be closely watched as alliances and strategies continue to unfold in the run-up to the 2024 elections.
