The madras high court, which closed the case against ministers Udayanidhi stalin and Shekharbabu in the case of speaking against Sanathanam, said that people in high positions like ministers should not have spoken about Sanathanam.

The tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association held a 'Sanadana Abolippu Conference' in chennai last year. minister Udayanidhi stalin, who participated in this, said, "We should not oppose Sanatana Dharma. We will not oppose diseases like mosquito, dengue, malaria and corona. But we will try to eliminate them. Various parties protested against Udayanidhi in various states. This was followed by Uttar Pradesh, Defamation cases have been filed against Udayanidhi in several states including Maharashtra.


Similarly, Hindu Front state secretary Manohar filed cases against minister Udayanidhi, another secretary kishore kumar against minister Shekharbabu and state vice president V.P. Jayakumar A. Raza filed cases in the madras High Court. As they are talking about abolishing the Sanadan, on the basis of which merit, they are continuing in office, and the Go-warrant cases were filed seeking an order to explain.


Justice Anita Sumant heard these cases. The judgment in these cases was adjourned indefinitely on november 23 last year, following the conclusion of arguments on all sides. Judge Anita Sumant, who ruled in these cases today, closed the cases saying that even though these cases are fit for trial, she cannot grant any relief sought by the petitioner. Those in power may have policy differences. The judge said that it should be with full understanding and the comments should not be destructive of any belief. He emphadata-sized that creative ideas should be expressed.



Comments made by ministers and MPs in public should be accurate based on factual details. He said that no matter what policy he follows, he should express his views on the basis of the Constitution. The judge said that the minister of Hindu Religious Endowments cannot be considered to have given approval to the Sanatana Abolition Conference only by participating in it. He said that comparing Sanatana dharma with diseases like AIDS, Corona, Malaria shows a lack of understanding of Hinduism.


No punishment was imposed


The judge said that the Constitution of india and the Representation of the people Act disqualify the representatives of the people only if they are punished in the cases. Although cases are pending in various states against minister Udayanidhi regarding the Sanatana speech, no punishment has been imposed in those cases. Explanation cannot be ordered. He closed the cases saying that he could not provide any relief sought by the petitioners
