Voting is now certain after bjp has fielded its eighth candidate in this election. A rajya sabha candidate will need the votes of 37 MLAs to win the elections. At present the SP and congress alliance has a total of 110 MLAs. To win, the three SP candidates will need the votes of 111 MLAs. Now if the resentment continues among the party MLAs, then SP will not be able to muster even a hundred MLAs. In such a situation, the defeat of a candidate will be decided even before the voting in the elections.
