After Haryana to stop farmers, barricading on Delhi borders also
Ahead of the farmer unions' proposed 'Delhi Chalo' march on february 13, the data-borders with neighboring states have been transformed into fortresses at many places in haryana and delhi by erecting concrete barriers, sharp road blocks and barbed wire. Apart from this, prohibitory orders have been imposed and thousands of policemen have been deployed. On the other hand, the Center has invited farmer unions for another meeting on february 12 to discuss their demands.
After the data-borders of Haryana-Punjab, barricading has also been done on the data-borders of Delhi. Barricading was done on Ghazipur data-border on Sunday. Along with this, barricading was also done on the Singhu data-border. While in Jind, Haryana: CID-ADGP Alok Mittal arrived to inspect the security arrangements. Apart from this, police conducted a mock drill before the 'Delhi Chalo' protest march in Ambala. On Sunday, prohibitory orders under Section 144 have been imposed in the north-eastern district of the national capital.
Anti-riot Vajra vehicle deployed
haryana officials have sealed the data-border with punjab at Shambhu near Ambala. To stop the march, elaborate arrangements have been made on the data-borders of Jind and Fatehabad districts. Due to fear of disturbing peace, the haryana government has banned mobile internet services and sending multiple SMS (messages) in seven districts - Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa from february 11 to 13.
To prevent the protesters from jumping the police barricade, iron sheets have been installed on both sides of the road on the Ghaggar flyover. Water cannons and anti-riot 'Vajra' vehicles have been deployed. Along with this, the bed of Ghaggar river has also been excavated so that it cannot be crossed on foot. However, some people were seen crossing the river on foot. haryana Chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar said that all steps are being taken to maintain law and order.
