Farmers' march is going on, they are adamant on going from noida to Delhi. The police have stopped the farmers from barricading. There was traffic jam at many places due to the farmers being stopped. Security has also been tightened due to the farmers' protest. Roads have been closed at many places. The central delegation is going to chandigarh to talk to the farmers.
People told ABP news that they were stuck in the traffic jam for two hours and the cng might run out. One person said that there is jam everywhere. On the other hand, the police is trying to talk to the farmers but the farmers are not ready to talk to them. The farmers are demanding that their way be left and if the police does not agree then they will go to jail. It is being told that there is a long traffic jam in noida Sector 15 and Sector 18. Farmers have been stopped near Mahamaya flyover. Let us tell you that noida administration has also implemented Section 144 as a precautionary measure. Why are the farmers protesting?
The fight of these farmers is going on with noida and Greater noida Development Authority. They are protesting since december 2023. The farmers are demanding that increased compensation and plots will be given in exchange for the acquired land. Farmers allege that the authority does not understand their problems. This issue is not being resolved because the issue of 10 percent residential plot is stuck for approval.
