Shock to Facebook-Youtube in case of objectionable post against Dhirendra Shastri

madhya pradesh high court has rejected the arguments of social media companies Facebook-Meta, X and YouTube in the case related to unrestrained post against acharya Dhirendra krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham. In this case, the division bench of Chief Justice ravi Malimath and Justice vishal mishra has passed the order of cancellation, accepting the request of social media companies to withdraw their appeal.

Advocate Pankaj Dubey presented the case on behalf of petitioner Ranjit Singh Patel, a disciple of Peethadhishwar Dhirendra krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham. He argued that Facebook-Meta, X and YouTube etc. are in the dock because of the unrestrained posts against acharya Dhirendra krishna Shastri of Bageshwar Dham. Therefore, through the petition, a demand was made to delete the false propaganda material. After hearing which, the high court had passed an order to remove the objectionable post and not to repeat such mistake in future.

Companies filed petition in the High Court

According to advocate Pankaj Dubey, instead of following this order, these internet media companies filed an appeal in the mp High Court. It was argued on behalf of social media companies that their platforms are electronic wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital portals, over whose posts they do not have control. Therefore, a case should be filed against the particular person making the inappropriate post. However, when the high court did not agree with these arguments, a request was made to withdraw the appeal.

high court asked for details in helmet case

During the hearing of another case, madhya pradesh high court directed to present the details of the strategy decided in the meeting with the Chief Secretary regarding mandatory use of helmets, seat belts and installation of high security number plates in vehicles. The court has given two days' time for this. The division bench of Chief Justice ravi Malimath and Justice vishal mishra has fixed the next hearing on the case on february 8.
