Global Cycle for Gold Challenge was organized by AIIMS's long-term partner NGO CanKids KidsCan

Reportedly on the occasion of World cancer Day, the cycle rally was officially launched from AIIMS New delhi to Kalavati saran Children Hospital on 4th February. Dr M srinivas, director, AIIMS, flagged off the third edition of cycle for gold to access 2 care for children suffering from cancer and their families in India. This Global cycle for gold Challenge was organized by AIIMS's long-term partner NGO CanKids KidsCan, National Society for Change for Childhood cancer in India. Its objective is to promote awareness among the people. Apart from this, it aims to solve the challenges in accessing care and get the necessary support from the society for the treatment and care of children suffering from cancer.

Meanwhile it marks the beginning of a 34-day movement from international Children's cancer Day on 15 february through international Women's Day on 8 March, which will run until 10 March. Cyclists around the world can register under the campaign slogan “Shaping Your Future, Make the Future” to contribute to the global challenge by cycling anytime, anywhere.

Moreover AIIMS director Dr M srinivas pledged support to the cause and said, “We are committed to working with all stakeholders, including NGOs like CanKids KidsCan, to ensure Access 2 Care.” He said, “Once children reach the hospital, we are committed to improving survival and other outcomes. I congratulate CanKids across the country for their work and assure them of our full support. "We are proud to flag off the CAN Kids CycleForGold Edition 3 global challenge from AIIMS to the world."
