Real picture of Bihar is not changing since years, remains as most backward state in the country?
As per report today bihar is counted among the most backward states in the country. This tag has continued unabated for years or rather decades. The situation of bihar is pathetic on every parameter related to Human Development Index. Be it education or medical facilities, its quality at the government level is the worst in the country. For the people here, migration within the country and abroad in search of higher education and jobs has become their destiny over the years.
Meanwhile the level of basic facilities is much lower than the rest of the states in the country. The standard of living of the common people of the state is also very poor compared to other states. Be it industry or tourism, bihar remains at the bottom. There is not a single city in the state which can be presented as an example. Even in most of the areas of the capital Patna, the system from roads to drains is always in a dilapidated condition.
The real picture of bihar has been this for years. No matter what claims all the political parties and their top leaders make, the pain of the people of bihar on the parameters of development remains the same. There is no major change in the picture of life of common people as compared to other states. The sights seen while roaming around in most of the areas of bihar do not get a place in the mainstream media, but the political drama of bihar is always in the headlines of the media. Despite this, all the parties and leaders of bihar keep making exaggerated claims of development in their statements. Now the situation of the people of the state has become such that even a small example of development comes to light or a political party raises the issue of a few jobs, then people get angry and start considering it as the real form of development.
