CM Sukhu paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary
Yesterday i.e. on 30th January, on the occasion of the death anniversary of the father of the Nation, mahatma gandhi, the whole country is remembering him. Every year, on the occasion of his death anniversary, tribute is paid to the father of the Nation mahatma gandhi by garlanding his statue in Shimla. This time too, governor Shiv Pratap Shukla, chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and other cabinet colleagues reached the ridge ground and paid tribute to Bapu. On the occasion of Martyr's Day, governor Shiv Pratap Shukla said that mahatma gandhi gave independence to india by following the path of non-violence. The entire nation is paying tribute to him today with gratitude. He said that mahatma Gandhi's message of truth and non-violence is more relevant in the present times.
At the same time, chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that the entire country united under the leadership of the President and by choosing the path of non-violence, she played a remarkable role in getting independence for india with her dedicated efforts. He called for taking inspiration from the ideals of the father of the Nation and imbibing Gandhiji's principles in life and said that this would be the true tribute to mahatma Gandhi. father of the Nation mahatma gandhi also had a deep connection with Shimla. This has been the property of Princess Amrit Kaur. In the year 1935, mahatma gandhi came in contact with Princess Amrit Kaur. After this, Manor Villa became a regular stay of mahatma Gandhi. When father of the Nation mahatma gandhi came to shimla for the first time in 1921, he stayed at Shanti Kutir in Baluganj. Now this cottage is known as Shanti Cottage. Apart from this, mahatma gandhi also stayed in Cleveland and Chadwick Building. During most of his travels, mahatma gandhi used to stay at the Manor Villa in Summerhill.
