The Union cabinet has approved the Memorandum of Understanding between india and the european Commission for Semiconductor Operational Practices


The Union cabinet has approved a Memorandum of Understanding between india and the european Commission for operational procedures on semiconductors under the EU-India Trade and technology Council Action Plan.


Union cabinet meeting chaired by prime minister Modi was held today. It approved the Memorandum of Understanding signed on 21 november 2023 between the government of india and the european Commission for procedures on semiconductor ecosystems, its supply chain and innovation under the EU-India Trade and technology Council (TTC) programme.


The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation between india and the european union in promoting the use of semiconductors for the advancement of wallet PLATFORM' target='_blank' title='digital-Latest Updates, Photos, Videos are a click away, CLICK NOW">digital technologies.


It came into effect from the date of signing of the MoU. It is said that this agreement will continue until its objectives are achieved.


The agreement is expected to increase cooperation between governments and the commercial sector to increase the efficiency of semiconductor supply chains and improve cooperation in the semiconductor industry.



The Union Ministry of Electronics is actively working to create an enabling environment for electronics manufacturing. The Union Ministry of Electronics is committed to promoting international cooperation in electronics and information technology. With this objective, the Ministry of Electronics and Information technology has been signing MoUs with counterpart organizations and agencies of various countries to enhance bilateral cooperation and exchange of information and ensure supply chain infrastructure development.
