The Devaswam Board is said to be taking various measures to control the crowd of devotees.

But there is a situation where devotees wait for more than 10 hours for darshan. The elderly, sick and children

suffer the most in this traffic.

Also there have been complaints that devotees had to wait for 36 hours to have darshan of Swami during Mandal

Pooja.

Devotees are bored: Devotees are frustrated that they have to wait for 10 to 12 hours for ayyappa Swamy Darshan.

Long queues are seen on holidays. Each batch of devotees is allowed from the Sabari Peedam only after ensuring

that the Sannithan is decongested.

Devotees returning without darshan of ayyappa Swami: In view of this, the devotees did not go to Ayyappa's shrine, but left their laps in Pandala Palace where ayyappa was born and returned to town after completing the fast. In this case, there are few days left for the Makaravilakku Puja, and the crowd again surged. A major concern is how the guards and the Devasthanam will handle the devotees who come during Makara Jyoti Darshan.

Since the beginning of the month of Kartika, lakhs of devotees have been visiting the world famous

Sabarimala Ayyappan temple every day.

Accordingly, it was reported that the devotees had to wait in a long queue

for 10-12 hours for darshan at the sabarimala temple and the devotees were put to hardship due to the huge

traffic jam on the way to the temple.
