Big blow to Congress, 4 people including District Panchayat member join BJP
Even before the district panchayat President elections in Sehore, the home district of madhya pradesh cabinet minister Karan Singh Verma, bjp has made a dent in the Congress. Four district panchayat members supported by congress have left congress and joined BJP. These members also include former Vice President of bhopal district panchayat and mp representative of Digvijay Singh, district panchayat member Raju Rajput. After taking membership of bjp, Raju Rajput told the media that in congress, donkeys are made to run by tying horses. Let us tell you that in the recently concluded assembly elections, bjp had made the then district panchayat President Gopal Singh engineer a candidate from Ashta assembly seat. Gopal Singh engineer won this election and the post of district panchayat President became vacant as soon as he took oath as an assembly member. In such a situation, the election of district panchayat President was to be held today on 30th December, whereas a day before this, bjp has made a dent in congress and given membership of bjp to four members of congress supported district Panchayat. At present the election of district panchayat President has been postponed.
Minister-MP-MLA got membership
During the district panchayat member elections, bjp supported candidates had lost in all the three wards under Sehore assembly, while congress supported members had registered victory. Due to less number of members, BJP's Gopal Singh engineer had become the district panchayat President, but now after he became MLA, the seat of the district panchayat member was vacant. In such a situation, both bjp and congress seemed to have equal number of members, but here bjp included the congress supported members in BJP.
