SP announces candidate for by-election, bet on 7-time MLA

SP has started its own preparations for Duddhi by-election. The party declared Vijay Singh Gond as its candidate for this seat on Monday. This assembly seat is reserved for scheduled tribes and this seat has always been a stronghold of SP. For this reason, the party has made strong tribal data-face Vijay Singh Gond, who has been mla from here seven times, as its data-face. However, in the last election, Vijay Gond had to data-face defeat by a margin of 1,050 votes.

25 years imprisonment in this case

In fact, an MP-MLA court in Sonbhadra on friday convicted Ramdular Gond, who became mla on bjp ticket from Duddhi assembly constituency, on charges of raping a minor girl. In this case, he has been sentenced to 25 years of rigorous imprisonment. After this decision, he has lost his mla seat and now this seat has been declared vacant. Additional district and Sessions Judge (ADJ) Ehsan Ullah Khan of the MP/MLA court also imposed a fine of Rs 10 lakh on the accused, which will be used for the rehabilitation of the victim.
