First flight to land on Dec 30 in Ayodhya Airport
Reportedly the newly constructed ram temple in ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh will be inaugurated on january 22, 2024 and Kumbabhishekam will be performed. Also, Sri Rama's iconic bow, arrow and other mythological symbols are painted on the walls in beautiful colors at the airport. The airport also has night landing facilities. ayodhya airport has been granted All Weather General Use Category Aerodrome License by the Directorate of Civil Aviation. According to the Airports Authority of india, “The airport has a 2200 meter long runway with aircraft ground lighting, DVR and Instrument Landing System (ILS). This allows the airport to operate flights even at night with low visibility.” As stated.
In the first phase, only small aircraft carrying up to 60 passengers will be operated. It is expected that the airport will be able to handle large-scale flights when the overall works are completed in 2025. From here, flights will be operated to delhi, Mumbai, hyderabad and Bengaluru in the first phase. Following this, the flight service will be operated to other cities as well.
The airport is designed to reflect indian heritage and culture. “People coming to ayodhya from other parts of the country or abroad will get to know the ancient splendor of the city at the airport itself.
