According to CSLA statistics, Uttar Pradesh ranks second in terms of states' contribution to the country's GDP. tamil Nadu has got the 3rd position. Uttar Pradesh has overtaken tamil Nadu to become India's second-largest economy. UP's share in GDP is second only to maharashtra which is ranked first. According to statistics published by CSLA (Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia), Uttar Pradesh is ranked second in terms of the contribution of states to the country's GDP. maharashtra leads the way with 15.7 percent of the country's total GDP. Uttar Pradesh is next with 9.2 percent. tamil Nadu with a 9.1 percent GDP contribution has lost the second place to UP in terms of textiles. gujarat (8.2 per cent), West bengal (7.5 per cent), karnataka (6.2 per cent), rajasthan (5.5 per cent), andhra pradesh (4.9 per cent), and madhya pradesh (4.6 per cent) followed.
