Bikram Singh Majithia appeared before SIT

Before reaching the SIT office, Majithia said that he is a law abiding citizen and he has full faith in the law. The

SAD leader accused the AAP government of playing politics on the drugs issue and claimed that he was called by

the SIT because he was speaking against chief minister Bhagwant Mann. He also alleged that Mann was using the

state machinery against him. He said, This is just politics and doing politics has become a habit of Bhagwant

Mann. He has been sleeping for two years. Taking aim at the chief minister, Majithia said that this is my request,

if you have any evidence then present it in the court. My fight is against the state machinery and against the state

government which files FIR against anyone who utters even a single word against it.

Was in jail for five months

Majithia was booked under the Narcotic drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act on december 20, 2021,

during the Charanjit Singh Channi-led government. This action was taken on the basis of the 2018 report of the

Anti Drug Special Task Force. The FIR was registered by the State Crime Branch at its Mohali police station. In

August last year, Majithia came out of patiala jail after being granted bail by the punjab and haryana High Court

in the drugs case. He was released after spending more than five months in jail.
