YS Jagan's desire to make Visakhapatnam the administrative capital remains unfulfilled, sparking debates on the possibility of realizing this dream as elections approach. In december 2019, jagan announced the controversial plan for three capitals, leading to widespread protests and legal challenges. The amaravati capital issue united the opposition, resulting in a high court trial.

The government subsequently revoked the three capitals law but filed a special leave petition in the supreme Court. In the midst of these challenges, the ycp decided to establish a camp office in Visakhapatnam, symbolizing its commitment to the city. However, a case filed by the amaravati Rajdhani Pariraksan Samiti in the high court sought clarity on the government's stance.

The government's response indicated a shift of government coal mines to Visakhapatnam, though skepticism surrounds the ongoing campaign. Simultaneously, controversies arose over the construction of the CM's camp office on Rushikonda, prompting a legal battle on environmental grounds. As these issues unfold, the relocation of government offices to Visakhapatnam awaits resolution.

With only the month of december remaining, the outcome will determine if Visakhapatnam becomes Jagan's administrative capital, addressing his unfulfilled desire during his tenure. Whole state is waiting for the result which would bring some changes in their lives.
