Addressing a gathering of prominent industrialists, the prime minister expressed happiness for Devabhoomi being in uttarakhand and recalled that he had said that the third decade of the century was Uttarakhand's decade and was being felt on the ground. Addressing the investors present at the event as heavyweights of the industry, the prime minister drew a comparison of SWOT analysis carried out by multinational companies and emphadata-sized the exercise on the nation. He highlighted that the results of the SWOT analysis indicate a lot of aspirations, optimism, self-confidence, innovation and opportunities in the country.
PM Modi cited indicators of principled governance and citizens' commitment to political stability. "Aspirational india prefers stable government to instability". Throwing light on the recently concluded assembly elections, the prime minister underlined that people voted on the basis of good governance and its record. The prime minister highlighted the country's ability to progress at a record pace despite the Covid pandemic and volatile geo-political situation. The prime minister said that the benefits of the twin-engine government are visible in the state. While the state government works keeping local realities in mind, the indian government is making unprecedented investments in Uttarakhand. Both levels of government reinforce each other's efforts.
The prime minister mentioned about the works going from rural areas to Sar Dham and said that the distance between them is not very far. "Expansion of dehradun and Bandhnagar airports will strengthen air connectivity. Heli-taxi services will be expanded in the state and rail connectivity will be strengthened. All these will create new opportunities for agriculture, industry, logistics, storage, tourism and hospitality," he added. He underlined that uttarakhand will emerge as a brand that encompasses nature, culture and heritage. He emphadata-sized that investors should give priority to exploring and creating opportunities in the fields of Yoga, Ayurveda, Thirtham and adventure sports.
Prime minister Modi appealed to the rich, affluent and youth of the country to start the 'Wet in India' movement in the 'Make in India' way. He asked them to organize at least one wedding ceremony in uttarakhand in the next five years. Even if 5000 marriages take place in uttarakhand in a year, the new infrastructure will be developed and will make the state the wedding destination of the world,” the prime minister highlighted India's ability to fulfill any resolution.
The prime minister congratulated the uttarakhand government for launching the house of himalayas brand and said it was an innovative initiative to take Uttarakhand's local products to foreign markets. He mentioned the Rs 15 lakh crore import bill for petroleum and Rs 4 lakh crore import bill for coal. He elaborated on efforts to reduce imports of pulses and oilseeds as even today india imports pulses worth Rs 15,000 crore.
