Chinese pneumonia virus in AIIMS Delhi..?
The Union health Ministry has denied the information regarding the Chinese pneumonia virus outbreak in Delhi's AIIMS hospital. The Union health Ministry has clarified that reports circulating that the alleged bacterial infections detected at Delhi's AIIMS are linked to the recent rise in pneumonia cases in china are false. In a press release issued by the Union Ministry of health, "A recent report in a national newspaper stated that seven cases of bacteria associated with the recent outbreak of pneumonia in china have been detected at AIIMS Hospital in Delhi. This news is false and baseless.” As reported.
The seven outbreaks have nothing to do with the rise in respiratory infections among children in parts of the world, including China. The Union health Ministry also clarified that these seven infections were detected as part of an ongoing study at AIIMS delhi over a period of six months (April to september 2023). Mycoplasma pneumoniae was not detected in 611 samples tested at the Department of Microbiology, AIIMS delhi, as part of ICMR's multi-respiratory pathogen surveillance from last january till today, mainly acute respiratory disease detectable by real-time PCR.

No outbreak has been reported in any part of india as reported.
