Tamil Nadu BJP Sets Up Relief Camps for Public for Chennai rain.

Tamil Nadu bjp president K annamalai said in an X post “Due to Cyclone Mikjam, chennai and surrounding districts are likely to experience heavy rain and wind till tonight, so I request all the public to postpone all their work for a day and stay safe. To help the public, camps have been set up here and there on behalf of @BJP4Tamilnadu and food preparation is going on. I request the bjp brothers and administrators to work as a team along with the municipal officials and frontline workers to help fulfill the basic needs of the public”.

“Also, I understand that trains coming to chennai have been stopped at suburban stations due to rain. I request the @BJP4Tamilnadu brothers to provide necessary assistance to the train passengers as far as possible. I also request the public to be very careful and safe during this difficult time,” he added bjp tamil Nadu president K annamalai said due to the impact of approaching cyclone, Michaung, chennai and surrounding districts are likely to experience heavy rain and wind till tonight, and requested public to postpone all their work for a day and stay safe.

He informed that bjp state unit has set up camps to help the public, is arranging food also. “I request the bjp brothers and administrators to work as a team along with the municipal officials and frontline workers to help fulfill the basic needs of the public,” he said in a post on X. According to the latest IMD bulletin, cyclonic storm ‘Michaung’ over westcentral and adjoining Southwest Bay of bengal off South andhra pradesh and adjoining north tamil Nadu coasts intensified into ‘Severe Cyclonic Storm’ over the same region.

The cyclonic storm moved northwestwards with a speed of 8 kmph during past 06 hours, IMD said at 11 am, adding that it intensified into a Severe Cyclonic Storm and lay centered at 8:30 am over the same region near Latitude 13.3°N and Longitude 81.0°E, about 90 km east-northeast of chennai, 170 km southeast of Nellore, 200 km northeast of Puducherry, 300 km south-southeast of bapatla and 320 km south of Machilipatnam.
