Leader of Opposition Edappadi Palaniswami has criticized the ruling DMK government that the rainwater drainage project cannot cope with normal rains. Northeast Monsoon has intensified in tamil Nadu. Due to this, widespread rains are falling across the state. In particular, heavy rains are falling in the capital chennai, neighboring districts like Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, Tiruvallur and other districts. Due to this, flood water is flowing on roads in Chennai. However, as the Corporation staff is constantly on the ground, the rectification is done immediately.

On the other hand, unlike last time, in most parts of chennai, the water accumulated on the roads automatically drains away immediately. This is said to be the reason for the rainwater drainage works undertaken by the tamil Nadu government. However, in some places where the work is not possible or not maintained, the staff are working hard as the water stagnates and it is fixed immediately. The tamil Nadu government has also set up a control room and is monitoring the situation. chief minister Stalin is directly in the field.

In this situation, Opposition leader Edappadi Palaniswami has criticized the ruling DMK government that the rainwater drainage project cannot withstand normal rain. In this regard, he said on his X page, "The two-and-a-half-year rule of the Marthatum vidya DMK government has not data-faced a single storm so far, having carried out rainwater drainage works worth about four thousand crore rupees in Chennai. But chennai is floating because of this normal rain. "DMK Model Road", which is incompetent in administration, is flooded today as if it is a testimony of two and a half years of vidya DMK rule.

The vidya DMK government's mismanagement is witnessed by the rainwater drainage scheme that cannot cope with this normal rain and the state is affected by multi-seasonal monsoon diseases including dengue. I request the All india Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam volunteers to extend their helping hand to the affected people instead of believing that the vidya government will take action to alleviate the suffering of the people.
