Winter session will start in Maharashtra from December 7

Will there be discussion on maratha reservation issue?

Maharashtra Legislative Council Vice President Neelam Gore has given her statement on whether the Maratha

reservation issue will be discussed during the winter session of the maharashtra Legislature or not. On the

question whether this issue would be discussed during the session, Gore said that no proposal has come to him

yet. There is no doubt that this issue will arise during the winter session. But I cannot announce the date until all

the business and other processes are finalized....But the reservation issue will be discussed in both the Houses

and it is everyone's desire that a permanent solution is found. . Gore said that preparations for the session are in

full swing and arrangements for food, accommodation and crèche facilities for their children are also being made

for police personnel and other government employees.

Manoj Jarange Patil's demand

Manoj Jarange Patil, who has become the data-face of the maratha reservation campaign, had also a few weeks ago

asked the administration to pass a bill in the upcoming winter session of the Legislature to provide reservation to

Marathas. Speaking at a rally in Thane, Jarange had said, Instead of calling a special session, give reservation to

Marathas in the upcoming session itself based on the latest [Kunbi] record findings.
