Recently we have seen that young people are suffering more heart attacks. According to the study, 35% of heart attack victims are in their 40s. In such a situation, I felt that it was my first duty as the health Minister to rush to the aid of the common people. Thus, karnataka Ratna Dr. Puneeth Rajkumar informed that Hriday Jyoti Yojana is being implemented. The Puneeth Rajkumar Hriday Jyoti scheme is being implemented in two ways. Hub and spoke model and installation of AED devices in public places. The hub and spoke model will work effectively in preventing sudden cardiac arrests. We are making 85 district and taluk hospitals SPOKE centers. 10 hubs have been created in total 16 super specialty hospitals including Jayadeva Cardiology Institute and Medical college Hospitals.

Anyone who presents with chest pain, visits our SPOKE centers and gets an immediate ECG. Also, through AI technology, if their condition is critical, it will be detected within four to five minutes on the spot. Those who are in critical stage are given free Tenecteplase injection at SPOKE Centers and Andhra Taluk Hospitals.. This injection is very effective in preventing sudden cardiac arrest. Private hospitals charge 30 to 45 thousand for one Tenecteplase injection. However, we have decided to provide this injection free of cost in our government hospitals.

Special Ambulance for Patient Transfer from Spoke Center to Hub: After treatment at Spoke Centers of Taluk or district Hospital, we send them to Hub Centers of Super Specialty Hospitals for further treatment with the help of Ambulance. There, more medical services are provided to the patients. Advanced cardiac treatment, including angiogram or angioplasty, can be obtained at these hubs. BPL card holders will also get free treatment in hubs of super specialty hospitals. APL cardholders can get free treatment under our Arogya karnataka Ayushman Bharat health Card. 45 spoke centers are connected to Jayadeva heart Institute's three hubs of Bangalore, mysore and Kalaburagi Hospitals. He informed that these include 35 taluk hospitals and 10 district hospitals.

We have created 7 hubs including 13 super specialty hospitals in collaboration with our medical college hospitals and some private medical institutions. For these coverage, 40 spoke centers are linked. It includes 34 taluk and 6 district hospitals.
