PM narendra modi spoke with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi about the counteroffensive following the terror attacks on october 7 and the ongoing international efforts to rush humanitarian aid to war-torn Gazans amid the ongoing aerial assault on Hamas in Gaza and the start of an IDF ground operation.

PM Modi posted information on his talks with the president of egypt on social media, stating that both leaders were concerned about the spread of terrorism and the deaths of civilians in the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

"Yesterday, spoke with President @AlsisiOfficial. Exchanged views on the deteriorating security and humanitarian situation in West Asia. We share concerns regarding terrorism, violence, and loss of civilian lives. We agree on the need for early restoration of peace and stability and facilitating humanitarian assistance," PM Modi posted from his official handle on X.

Prime minister narendra modi and President al-Sisi discussed the most recent developments in the "Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip" and the risk of a further escalation of the war, according to a data-facebook post made earlier on sunday by the Egyptian president's spokesperson. The spokeswoman went on to say that throughout the conversation, al-Sisi emphasised Egypt's ongoing efforts to organise regional and global initiatives to promote a ceasefire.

"President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from narendra modi, prime minister of India, in which views were exchanged between the two leaders on the latest developments in the Israeli military operations in the Gaza strip, and the danger of continuing the current escalation -- its grave impact on the lives of civilians and the threat it poses to security," according to a translation of the spokesperson's post on Facebook.

He went on to say that in his phone call with PM Modi, President ai-Sisi also issued a warning about the possibly terrible humanitarian and security consequences of the ground invasion on the Gaza Strip.

"The President emphasised Egypt's ongoing efforts to coordinate regional and international efforts to push for a ceasefire, cautioning against the ground attack on the Gaza Strip's potentially dangerous humanitarian and security fallout and emphasising the need for Unified international Action to find a swift solution to the situation." According to the UN General Assembly's resolution, which was released yesterday evening, october 27, "the diplomatic level includes implementing an immediate humanitarian truce that preserves civilian lives and permits humanitarian aid to enter the Strip immediately and without interruption or obstruction," the spokesperson stated.
