He established Adiparashakti Peedam and ran it for more than half a century and provided various social services including education and medicine to the people.

Bangaru Adikalar, known by devotees as Amma, pioneered the revolutionary practice of women going into the sanctum sanctorum and conducting worship at Melmaruvathur Adiparashakti Temple. DM Kazhagam has been fighting for many years to make all castes go to the sanctum sanctorum and have been implementing it, the spiritual revolution of the Bangaru Adigalar who made all the women to go inside the sanctum sanctorum and worship by themselves, is very admirable. In recognition of his spiritual and social services, the Union government honored him with the padma shri Award in 2019. Last december 2021, when I went to Melmaruvathur to launch the project "Nammayik Kakum 48", I personally visited Bangaru Adigalar who was in good health and inquired about his health.

The disappearance of Adikalar, who was undergoing treatment due to ill health, is a tragedy for his devotees.
