bjp state president Babulal Marandi said that the opposition’s demand for a nationwide caste-based census will
not affect his party's prospects in the lok sabha and assembly elections. He stressed that bjp will perform better
in the assembly elections and lok sabha elections in jharkhand compared to 2019. Marandi promised that if BJP
comes to power, it will give a corruption-free government in the state, improve the law and order situation and
implement NRC.
Babulal Marandi bjp has provided the facility of caste based reservation in the country. Apart from this, political
parties select candidates from the caste which is in majority on a seat. Speaking to the media, Marandi said, I do
not think that the demand for a nationwide caste census will have any impact on the BJP's electoral prospects in
the lok sabha and jharkhand assembly elections.
Marandi said this on caste census
Marandi said that more than 27 percent of BJP's MPs, MLAs and ministers are from ST, sc and OBC
communities, while eight ministers in the Union cabinet are from these categories. Marandi said that PM Modi
himself comes from the OBC community. Marandi alleged that the demand for caste census has been made to
benefit specific families.
